Gold Bar Vacation Home

Gold Bar, WA

Tucked into the natural landscape of Gold Bar, WA, this custom vacation home was thoughtfully designed and built on an undeveloped site with both present enjoyment and future flexibility in mind. From the start, the goal was to create a structure that felt at home in its surroundings—one that respected the land, preserved key view corridors, and allowed the property to evolve over time.

Designed as a comfortable vacation home and rental, the layout includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a dedicated game room—spaces that feel inviting, practical, and easy to live in. Large windows and a simple, intentional form maximize views while maintaining privacy and preserving a natural foliage buffer between neighboring properties.

Behind the scenes, careful planning ensured the home is prepared for what comes next. Utilities and site systems were designed to support a future second residence, allowing this structure to seamlessly convert into a 1,200-square-foot accessory dwelling unit when the time comes. This forward-thinking approach protects the owner’s long-term vision while keeping the home fully complete and functional today.

Throughout the process, our team worked collaboratively with the owner—integrating their ideas, guiding design decisions, and managing the planning and permitting required to bring the project to life. The result is a home that feels intentional and grounded, offering a peaceful retreat now and a clear path forward for the future.

STARS

We had Verum Construction create the drawings, develop the raw land and build a new home top to bottom. They were excellent the whole way. They communicated well and performed all phases as requested. They even gave us great advice along the way. I highly recommend them.
